Today was planned to be a light day. We ate breakfast, watched some TV, and around 1:30 in the afternoon headed out for a walk to the park. Fitzgerald's park is close and covers about 18 acres. It housed a lovely rose garden with huge roses, and some works of art by local artists. And it was also the first time I saw a pay toilet. Yes, if you wanted to pee, you had to pay. Vetoing that, we walked to the Cork Museum, which is located in the park and is free. Inside, we found free toilets, so nyah nyah. The museum was much larger than we anticipated and we wandered around for over an hour. There was a section dedicated to the Titanic. As it turns out, Cork was the last port before it hit the iceberg. They also had a section dedicated to travelers, which we would refer to as gypsies. So after wandering the museum, we decided to go cheap for dinner. We found a Subway on our way back and picked up subs for our combo lunch/dinner. And that was pretty much it for the day.
